about

The lyrics to this song are written about my best friend, Jason Travers, and the void of a soul that shot him in his sleep. This asshole blew his own head off with a shotgun before anyone could ask him why or how he could do such a thing. I would follow him into hell to ask him to his face.
-Stuart

lyrics

As I look to the skies, I can see inside your mind
Ever since you died, I have lost what we confided
Now you're past the first Bardo
Toward the infinite light
Your journey will start over
For me just absence and cries
Our perspectives aligned
Artificially derived, the LSD we've imbibed
Alone I'm permafried...

Should have could have would have
been there
Every nightmare every tear
Six fallen peers. It still hurts
Here and there
From time to time nowhere
when unaware of deeper layers
that have their ways of coming through,
like the evils that some men can do.

I'd follow you into hell just for the chance to ask you Why!

You killed them all for no reason
You did it all for your own pain
You killed them all for no reason
You didn't even know their names
x2
You killed them all!
You killed them all!
You killed them all!
You killed them all for no reason
You did it all for your own pain
You killed them all for no reason
You didn't even know their names
How did you decide, they won't last the night?
All for your foolish pride,
I'd follow you into hell just for the chance to ask you Why!

How did you decide, they won't last the night?
All for your foolish pride!

As I look to the skies, I can see inside your eyes
Even though you died, I've got what we confided
Now you're past the last Bardo
Part of the infinite light
Your journey won't start over
Some day we'll be realigned
